F5 Network Engineer (Remote)

Secret Clearance Required

F5 Network Engineer for large scale Air Force Program. The program requires additional F5/Network capability to support the current production landscape.

Support the interconnectedness of the F5 to the network and the network to the underlying solution infrastructure resource with a level of technology understanding necessary to support and promote a stable IT solution from development through production. The F5 resources needs to fulfill this requirement are available in the marketplace.

TASKS:

Expanded domain in F5/Network analysis and network hardware configuration oversight

As part of risk reduction, the establishment of a backup capability.

Support activities through mitigation efforts require specific participation of

F5/network expertise

Support for alternative hosting considerations and analysis

Support Program footprint to include SME support for non-government

development locations

Support activities associated with challenges associated with global deployment that

are integrated with the F5, such as VDI based solutions for network latency

Shall create, review and ensure that updates are made to the Configuration Management Plan. Will be responsible for the delivery of a multi-year life cycle plan. Will research, provide analysis and engineering assistance when needed.

Participates in application release activities and provides resolution for any issues

Works with enterprise partners for chronic infrastructure issues, product bugs and feature enhancements.

Participates in project calls and works with internal groups as well as stakeholders to gather detailed technical requirements and application specifications.

Responsible for application integration designs. As part of this work out the details around application logic and required code (session management, application redirects, rewrites, migration scenarios, app routing, persistence logic).

Provides requirements and works with enterprise teams around new feature enhancements, certifications as well as life cycle management of portfolio.

Establishes application capacity/threshold management routines and proactively identifies upgrade/enhancement opportunities.

  • Understanding of Oracle Databases and Applications
  • Understanding of Splunk
  • Experience in Cybersecurity
  • F5 Local Traffic Managers (LTM) and Global Traffic Managers (GTM) advanced administration and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Good understanding of high availability architectures using Global Traffic Managers, public and internal.

Secret Clearance Required.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $69,145.54 - $135,000.00 per year
