Summary : Responsible for installing, repairing, assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, of equipment and lighting systems.
Responsibilities :

• Inspects and evaluates repairs to property or equipment to determine the type of work required.
• Identifies and communicates with management or consultants the need for repairs.
• Responsible for assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems
• Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components
• Able to read and interpret electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
• Perform general electrical maintenance
• Able to follow National, State and Local building codes and regulations.
• Knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems (Ability to check power and controls systems for HAVC equipment)
• Knowledge of various test equipment
• Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment and controls.
• Constructing and Fabricating parts, using hand tools and specifications.
• Ordering of electrical/ mechanical supplies and equipment.
• Requisitions supplies and equipment for repairs, replacement, cleaning, and maintenance duties.

Knowledge and Abilities:
Interprets instructions both written and oral. Works in a team with co-workers to resolve work issues. Knowledge of basic shop math. Able to communicate effectively in English.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Minimum 5 years of work experience as an electrician in a manufacturing or facilities setting is preferred.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to periodically walk to other areas of the plant, must have good eyesight and hand dexterity, and be able to identify and distinguish colors.
Work Environment:
Within safety guidelines, there will be exposure to noise, moving mechanical parts, oils/solvents, fumes, and odors that may affect the eyes, ears, nose, throat and/or skin.
*_In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this California position is between $41,600 to $72,800/annually. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law
