POSITION PURPOSE
The Project Manager is part of our continual effort to expand and improve our Greater Philadelphia YMCA facilities. The Project Manager will be responsible to coordinate large capital projects, interview and hire consultants and contractors as well as assist with any and all municipal approval process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Develop and lead full-scale project plans with the VP of Real Estate and the Leadership Team.
• Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
• Coordinate and organize communication with consultants, contractors and other service providers needed to implement the project plan.
• Monitor and guide compliance with building and safety regulations.
• Develop, manage and track the project schedule to keep everyone on track.
• Develop preliminary project cost.
• Manage project budget and project resource allocation.
• Create preliminary design program.
• Check design documents with architects, surveyors and engineers.

ROLE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

• College degree preferred or 5 years’ experience in project management or related field.
• Proficient in MS Office to include WORD, Outlook and Publisher
• Familiarity with construction/project management software
• Ability to lead by example and work with others
• Ability to travel to GPY branches as needed
• Strong Interpersonal skills and patience are required
• Exhibit strong leadership skills; possess a passion for member service, building and maintaining a culture of member service excellence

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken word to impart oral information and to convey detailed, spoken instructions to staff, members, children, and volunteers accurately, quickly, and loudly. Ability to perceive the nature of sounds by ear; ability to lift and carry 50-75 pounds; ability to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling. Ability to move about on foot quickly; ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships so as to see objects where they actually are and clearly see at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Exposure to high levels of noise and various environmental conditions.

Acquire and maintain the following certifications:

• CPR/AED/O2/First Aid obtained through the American Red Cross (valid 2 years)
• Requisite OSHA online trainings (valid 1 year unless otherwise noted)
• Mandated Reporter Training (valid 5 years)
• Additional training and development specific to your role as reference in onboarding packet.
