Salary Range: $80,000 to $95,000. Eligible for annual bonus.

What you will be doing:

To effectively manage the maintenance, and operator teams on site and provide a level of service in line with technical requirements. To undertake preventative maintenance and repairs to all relevant equipment on site, to help ensure the effective running of the warehouse function. Ensure the effective operation of the facility by overseeing that the team is effectively and efficiently utilizing the computer-based Material Flow Control System (MFCS) and physically correcting issues with the Material Handling Equipment (MHE). Conduct and assist in training. Maintain a professional culture on site and a commitment to Health & Safety, in line with company values.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all equipment is used and maintained in line with supplier’s guidelines. This will include conveyors, cranes, cooling systems, fire protection, freeze doors, oxygen reduction and other installations.
• Create and plan Preventative Maintenance tasks or repairs to be carried out in a timely and safe manner, minimising disruption to the operation
• Working within budgeted guidelines, and achieving agreed KPIs.
• Follow maintenance plan in the most efficient way to ensure minimal impact on the operation, but in a routine which achieves supplier guidelines as a minimum
• Ensure that all work is completed in a safe and timely manner.
• Work closely with equipment suppliers and /or contractors to ensure proper training of maintenance technicians and operators.
• Support the operators to ensure the smooth flow of logistics operations in the warehouse
• Arrange visits and services with suppliers at suitable times and in line with their guidelines to maintain any warrantees
• Monitor, Manage the ordering of spare parts in line with company policy and budgetary limitations
• Complete agreed internal reporting and communication as required by Site manager
• Daily meeting and improvement discussions with maintenance and operator leads
• Develop and understanding of all equipment and contracts on site including cooling systems, oxygen reduction, dock doors etc.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years operational leadership experience, customer service, maintenance, and system flow operation.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must be able to work effectively in cold freezer environment
• Must be able to climb 120ft ladder using safety harness
