Job description
The facility manager position is responsible for the following:
- Overseeing branch personnel, bulk plant, and retail store
- Assisting customers with sales, payments, account and billing questions, complaints, error resolution, and other such inquiries
- Conducting inspections and inventory counts
- Acting as a link between branch personnel and corporate leadership
- The candidate must possess considerable skills in communication, organization, problem solving, critical thinking and sound judgment with the ability to work independently
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Gain an understanding of the various operational functions including delivery, service, and customer service, as well as the propane industry as a whole
- Address and solve both customer and employee issues effectively and efficiently
- Communicate with other departments/locations to ensure operational success
- Perform general office, yard and administrative duties including, but not limited to, sales, payments, work orders, customer service, inventory counts, and vehicle inspections
- Compile data and report on daily field operations
- Oversee yard operations and tank readiness
- Ensure that the store, yard, and bulk plant remain in good operating order
- Assist other office and field personnel as considered necessary
- Act as a representative of the company with a sound knowledge of policy and procedure
Education and Experience:
- One to three years of relevant experience preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position and regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the ability to work outside of or in addition to those hours as needed.
Travel:
- Travel expectation outside of service area is approximately 5%
