Erie Neighborhood House, a community-building agency empowering Chicago’s low-income and immigrant families and dedicated to promoting a just and inclusive society is seeking a Family Advocate.

The Family Advocate basic function is coordination of health requirements, goal setting, and family partnership agreements for families enrolled in the ECE program. This includes written parent communications and data entry in CSD CARES or Child Plus databases

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Assist families in obtaining or maintaining their children’s health requirements
  • Assist families in goal setting and provide referrals to community agencies to assist in achieving goals
  • Enter daily attendance in program data bases
  • Participate in the planning and facilitation of program family engagement events
  • Participate in program recruitment effort

Travel - Minimal travel is required

Requirements:

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor in social work or related field preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Background Check:

  • Must pass Illinois State Police and DCFS Child Abuse and Neglect background checks
  • Must pass Illinois Sex Offender background check

  • Compensation : Compensation of $32,032 - $45,000 ($15.40 -$21.63 an hour) based on Illinois Gateways Family Specialist credential level
