POSITION TITLE: Family Life Associate Pastor

Job Type: Full-time (40 hours)

Salary: Competitive for New England region; Commensurate with experience.

Total Compensation Package: Includes retirement and health care

This position will report directly to the Senior Pastor.

GENERAL SUMMARY: Christian Tabernacle Baptist Church (“CTBC”) is seeking a full-time Family Life Pastor with demonstrated and established family values, who exhibits energy, and is gifted to serve in this capacity. The role of the Family Life Associate Pastor is to create a caring and supportive culture within the church’s ministry that will attract young families to attend worship service and become active, engaged members of CTBC. In this regard, The Family Life Associate Pastor will need to build teams, systems, and processes to attract and maintain young families to CTBC.

Responsibilities:

• Minister to member families and oversee children’s, youth and young adult ministries to help shape disciples of Jesus today and into the future.
• Help young people and young families thrive, and grow in healthy ways – spiritually, physically and emotionally, while discovering the love of CTBC.
• Create a vibrant college ministry and young adult ministry.
• Champion the next generation of CTBC by effectively ministering to our member families, focusing on children from infants to young adults.
• Work with member volunteers and the youth ministry team to develop an effective strategy to intentionally grow a vibrant congregation, attractive to youth, young adults and next generation of CTBC. Effectively minister to member family, and model discipleship ministry for our families and children, and community, that invite them to journey in discovering Jesus and the gospel at CTBC.
• Develop, implement, and lead our teaching ministry for our children on our Sunday mornings, including Sunday school, Children’s Church, and Summer Camp.
• Organize and participate in summer camp and vacation bible school, and various community projects for children and families.
• Under the guidance of the Senior Pastor, minister in the broader congregational life and ministry of CTBC through fellowship, discipleship, and shepherding congregants, inclusive of regular attendance and participation in Sunday Worship services, Bible Study.
• Serve as an associate to the Senior Pastor and member of the Ministerial Team, with opportunity to preach and perform other pastoral responsibilities as the opportunity, and approved by Senior Pastor, in alignment with Family Life Pastor responsibilities.

Qualifications

• A committed Christian who seeks to actively grow in their faith and ministry, with a desire and demonstrated commitment to help others to do likewise
• A person of high character who is a team player
• Has the heart of a teacher and a willingness to help others know, love and follow Jesus
• Communicates well in person and through digital platforms
• Master of Divinity or Masters in Theology or other Accredited Theological Training
• Ordained and/or Licensed Minister
• Prior leadership experience, with demonstrated outcomes
• Strong organizational and managerial experience preferred
• Willingness to submit to confidential personality assessment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
