Position Highlights
The Medical Director of Family Medicine at FH will have direct accountability for the daily medical delivery of services which includes primary care, behavioral health, and dental services. This individual will be responsible for organizing, administering, and setting the strategic direction of the department by collaborating with the Chief Clinical Officer, Chief Medical Officer, other Medical Directors, and leaders throughout the organization. The Family and Internal Medicine providers will report directly to the Medical Director and will work closely with all Clinical Operations areas.
Essential Function
· Establish and assume maintenance of professional standards in all Center medical departments including oversight of center wide medical protocols.
· Evaluate and monitor quality of patient care services.
· Manage and provide clinical leadership for family and internal medicine physicians for Friend Health.
· Oversees all onsite medical, academic, teaching and training practices.
· Oversees all health provider training programs in conjunction with the Human Resources department.
· Oversees all provider clinical educational and licensure requirements in conjunction with the Human Resources department.
Competencies
· Displays strong organizational skills in a high intensity, patient focused work environment.
· Strong oral/written communication skills a must.
· Experience with EMR systems. (Centricity a plus).
· Experience with Microsoft Office: WORD, Excel.
· Ability to work in a self-directed environment with the ability to network, organize and coordinate.
· Sound judgment and expert decision-making abilities.
· Flexibility with managing multiple projects.
· Attention to detail and a dedication to accuracy.
· Ability to handle confidential information in a professional & discrete manner.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position is responsible for managing the Family Medicine Department
Required Education and Experience
· M.D. or D.O., Board Certified.
· License to practice medicine in the State of Illinois or eligibility.
· Additional advanced degree in business, public health, healthcare administration or related field of study preferred.

Pay: $235,000.00 - $255,000.00 per year
