Job Summary
The Program Specialist responsibilities include tracking, monitoring assistance, oversight of intake calendar, outreach, data entry and data collection to ensure programmatic compliance for Pacoima Family Source Center. The FSC Program Specialist will work closely with FSC Supervisor and FSC Program Director to ensure that weekly, monthly and annual goals are met.
- Oversight of the outreach calendar and outreach efforts in the community, with partners, churches, educational organizations, schools and families to engage in Family Source Services.
- Respond to questions about program services from other El Nido programs, referral sources and other community service providers.
- Engages with internal/outside partner community agencies to enhance services to clients.
- Oversees and conducts client satisfaction surveys to inform services and resources
- Participates in community events, fairs and meetings to
- Provides support to FSC Case Manager on different project and administrative tasks
- Calls participants on FSC waiting list to remind them of services
- Assists with the completion of enrollment intakes as needed
- Conducts outreach and represents FSC at assigned meetings and events.
- Has the ability to develop relationships with providers and community organizations and provide input on communication and outreach strategies.
- Identify appropriate resources for clients and maintain Resource Folder up-to-date on a routine basis.
- Informs staff of new resources or changes in resources available to the community on a regular basis, specifically during meeting and via email.
- Assists with the preparation of meetings, activities and events. Takes meeting minutes.
- Provides administrative, general clerical support and reception back up as needed.
- Oversight of social service/healthcare resource platforms such as ( Unite Us, Care Portal and Change Reaction)
Position Requirements:
- B.A. degree in Education, Psychology, Social Science or related field or A.A. degree with two years’ experience working with diverse and vulnerable populations.
- At least two years of experience working in community programs or social/human service agencies.
- Experience working with adult population and families from diverse cultural and ethnic background.
- Demonstrate strong advocacy, networking interpersonal, organizational, written and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), Social Media platforms, SharePoint, and Cloud file storage.
- Detail oriented, organized, accurate and have time management skills to complete requests in a timely manner.
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to take meeting minutes
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have reliable automobile for use on the job, a valid driver’s license
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 per year
