Job description
The Farm Office Manager is responsible for the daily management of office administration for the Farm.
Provides office services by maintaining office computer software systems, farm processes, supplies, office equipment and facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Manage customer calls, scheduling, product deliveries, driver issues, customer pick-ups, customer complaints, basic accounting/bookkeeping functions and processing payroll for farm employees.
- Compile daily cash sheets, weekly check registers, and royalty reports.
- Code and manage accounts payables. Call on past due accounts.
- Assist farm manager with employee issues.
- Complete new hire and termination process and paperwork.
- Assist farm manager with all administrative work for farm, such as, monthly driver logs, daily driver logs and truck leases.
- Tag and inventory equipment and assets to meet Corporate reporting obligations.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by Farm Manager and/or Corporate as it relates to the Farm.
Qualifications - External
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
- High School diploma required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related degree with 2 years is preferred.
- Basic math skills required.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:
- Customer service skills
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Ability to manage and assist in all administrative aspects of operation
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: (IF APPLICABLE)
- Schedule delivery & routing schedules.
- Ensure that all drivers have correct paperwork for delivery schedule.
- Ensure that all King Ranch procedures are followed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS (Lifting, Bending, Stretching, etc.)
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and to handle other computer components.
- Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Must be a team player who is willing to cooperate with others.
Must be able to accept corrective criticism from supervisor.
Must be willing to take on a variety of assignments as assigned by management on an as-needed basis within the department and within other areas of King Ranch if necessary.
