Job description
The Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning is looking for student workers to send to off-campus organizations for the fall/spring semesters.
THIS IS AN OFF-CAMPUS COLLEGE WORK STUDY POSITION.
- Elementary Math, Science, or Reading Tutor
- Community Engagement Intern
- Generally, tutors will work in educational settings (schools or a non-profit) to help elementary school students gain a better comprehension of math, science, or reading.
- Community engagement interns will hold internship positions within a local non-profit in an area related to their academic major or specific interests.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to work cooperatively and in a leadership role
- Organizational skills
- Strong interest in community issues, engagement, and social justice
- Must be a current UHD student
- Must have work-study award from the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid
