FTTH/ Internet Field Tech

$20 Hourly pay – Full time

Responsibilities:

· Providing Installation/replacement of fiber, fiber splicing, and troubleshooting fiber to the home for internet services (FTTH).

· Working with Fiber and small components to establish internet connections, signal paths and flows, use of hand tools, and testing equipment.

· Maintaining all tools, vehicles, and equipment according to Company policies.

· Showcasing superior customer service.

· Performing and submitting weekly vehicle inspections and following vehicle maintenance service schedules.

· Use of both company and partnering companies’ applications.

What to expect:

· Working outdoors in all types of weather and environments including residential homes and businesses.

· Physically demanding work that includes a great deal of walking, bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, and lifting while wearing a tool belt.

· Traveling, sitting, or standing for extended periods of time.

· Potential to drive 25% or more of the day.

· Use of safety harnesses and climbing utility poles.

· Loading, unloading, and carrying multiple types of ladders, some weighing up to 75 lbs. and 28’ high (with a maximum weight capacity of 250#) on a regular basis.

· Working in small, tight confined spaces where movement can be restricted such as in crawl spaces, attics, or under mobile homes.

· Adhering to all company/ government Covid policies and requirements.

Qualifications:

· Must be at least 21 years old.

· Have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable MVR.

· Ability to pass pre-employment screening and background check without any criminal charges, DUIs, or illicit substances.

· Able to work full time with an open flexible schedule and willing to work weekends, overtime, and holidays when necessary to meet customer needs/ system demands.

· Comfortably and safely work at height (28’+) and in confined or restrictive areas.

· Willing to travel locally, statewide, or regionally as required.

· Possess leadership qualities to effectively manage your own schedule and travel times to ensure you are meeting system time frames.

· Assume full responsibility for the safe operation and maintenance of a company vehicle, equipment, and tools.
