Our company is seeking to hire a Field Inspector who can perform field survey and collection of overhead electrical and communication facilities for our design engineering department.

Field Inspector Responsibilities:

• Perform a visual collection of data and inventory of pole equipment to include sizes and structures.
• Perform field data collection utilizing approved collection materials provided by the company to include laptop, gps and other electronic devices as necessary.
• Develop a working knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), Electrical utility construction standards, telephone, cable, and other communication facilities.
• Operate necessary equipment to take measurements on and around utility poles, switch gears, and pad mount transformers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Follow all Safety protocols and practices established by company safety policies.
  • Possess a working knowledge of OSHA requirements to the induvial job responsibilities.
  • Responsible to maintain a safe and healthful place of work
  • Personal protective equipment must be used when and where required, and properly maintained.

Field Inspector Requirements:

• Working knowledge of power and or communication industry preferred
• Valid driver’s license and clear driving record
• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions, walking several miles a day while carrying equipment such as measuring devices, laptop, etc as required
• Field role with travel in Missouri and Illinois.
