General Summary:
The Field Service Technician is responsible for on-site installation, service, maintenance, warranty, and repair on various gates, barriers, access control, video surveillance, and security-related equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Provide customer support and end-user equipment operations training
- Service and maintenance on various perimeter barriers, operated gates, access control, and other security-related equipment.
- Communicate and document all maintenance and repair items
- Utilize networking systems (IP address, computer networks, and radar systems)
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be will to travel 50% of the time/short durations
- Must be able to work in high security environments.
- Must be 18 years or older
- Driver's License
Must exhibit:
- Ability to work independently
Preferred knowledge in:
- Low Voltage Standards
- Mechanical and hydraulic systems
- Troubleshooting of secured perimeter barriers and gate systems
- Proven guidance to end-users for solving problems
- Mechanical devices, electrical devices, and traffic patterns
- General construction processes
- CCTV and VMS knowledge
- Network programming and framework
- Access control integration
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- The employee must be able to work in a variety of outdoor conditions
