Tri-State Bobcat is a family-owned and operated company which has been one of the premier Bobcat dealers in the United States since 1983. In addition to Bobcat we feature the Toro, Stihl, Bandit, Avant, Fecon, Wacker Neuson, Kage, Green Climber, Apex and Virnig lines of equipment. We serve a wide range of markets including construction, landscaping, grounds and property maintenance, agriculture, tree care, land clearing and erosion control.

Our Little Canada location is seeking a Field Service Technician

The Field Service Mechanic is responsible for servicing and repairing at customer locations the extensive line of compact construction equipment which we represent. Success in this position is heavily dependent upon strong mechanical and problem solving skills and the ability to work independently with little supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Safely operate company service truck and keep it clean, organized and hazard free

Arrive on time as scheduled at customer locations

Diagnose and repair equipment as needed

Perform required preventive maintenance

Communicate job progress to service manager

Inspect and test equipment when work completed

Obtain or order parts needed for repairs

Check work orders for complete and accurate descriptions of work performed and charges for labor and parts

Work independently with little supervision

Willing to participate in all training programs and keep current on new equipment updates

Requirements:
A minimum of two years' experience as a mechanic in diesel engine repair and service

Experience with hydraulic/hydrostatic systems and electrical systems and troubleshooting

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid driver's license

DOT health card

Experience operating a Bobcat or similar compact construction equipment

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Good time management skills with the ability to complete work as scheduled
