Field Services Coordinator possesses the education, training and experience needed to conduct efficient operations in a Veterans residential treatment program. The FSC works under the Program Director to provide guidance and supervision to field personnel. The FSC represents the interest of the organizations to ensure the quality of services are effectively administered in support of the program mission. The FSC coordinates all field services and program activities. The FSC serves as a liaison between the organization and community housing providers, and other Veterans Organizations and Agencies. The FSC participates in the resident application screening process in collaboration with the program Case Manager Supervisor. The FSC evaluates appropriate corrective counseling actions taken to bring resident behavior into program rule compliance. The FSC reviews resident grievances and gauges appropriate corrective measures taken to modify resident behaviors. The FSC is responsible for supervising all Veterans Affairs quarterly and annual housing inspections. The FSC has direct supervision over the program’s house managers and related training. The FSC participates in monthly resident house meeting and weekly staff meetings. The FSC serves as an advisor to the program Director regarding housing care and facilitates operations.

Role of the Field Services Coordinator:

  • Supervises the administration of the Housing program.
  • Provides supervision to program House Managers.
  • Ensure field staff receive adequate supplies, and equipment.
  • Establishes and maintains safe facilities to carry out the program housing missions.
  • Provide continuing mentoring and training for program House Managers.
  • Facilitates and monitors installations and repairs to the program housing units.
  • Plans and coordinates program outings, e.g., sports, performances, dining outs and field trips.
  • Meets weekly and as needed with House Managers to review housing program atmospherics.
  • Coordinates and supervises resident drug and alcohol testing.
  • Creates and reviews policies governing resident conduct, housing rules and handbooks material.
  • Manages registration for staff in the County Homeless Management Information System (HMIS).
  • Support of House Managers to address serious incidents.
  • Attends weekly administrative program staff meetings.
  • Liaison to organizations and agencies providing housing, benefits, and service to veterans.
  • Responsible for the management of, and periodic services of organization vehicles.
  • Serves as mediator to address all resident grievances and final arbitrator for solutions.
  • Reviews house managers’ contact and incident reports.
  • Oversees the resident application screening process.

Role as a Supervisor

  • Meets weekly with House Managers to review facility operations.
  • Evaluates and document House Managers’ work performance.
  • Performs corrective training to improve House Manager performance.
  • Reviews disciplinary actions taken by House Managers.
  • Assigns and monitors House Managers’ daily workload.

Requirements:

  • AA with emphasis in Social Sciences - BA/BS degree desired.
  • Experience in management of housing program operations.
  • Experience in providing training, resident orientations, and subordinate evaluations.

Demands:

  • Part-time 20-32 hours weekly
  • Salary $25.00 - $30.00 per hours
  • Set schedule hours to be determined
