OVERVIEW
This person is primarily responsible for executing technician-level IT tasks related to larger projects. This may entail rollout of desktops/laptops/end points, access points, software installation and configuration, printer installation, device inventory, boxing/unboxing devices, updating spreadsheets, etc. This person should have experience providing technical support and/or deployment/customer service for an IT operation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inventory / Asset Management, boxing, unboxing devices, recording information in spreadsheets
- Deployment of desktops/laptops/end-points
- Installation and configuration of software
- Moves, adds/changes and-or relocations of computer hardware
- Diagnosis and removal of malware (viruses, spyware, etc)
- Enter, retrieve, forward, edit, and close service tickets using client ticketing systems
- Document and update project documents and spreadsheets
- Unbox-image-configure new computing devices or reconfigure existing devices
- Install and integration computing devices; computers, printers, access points, monitors, projectors, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A+ certification (preferred)
- Dell and/or HP certified (a plus)
- 1-2 years experience with hardware deployment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications and the Internet
- Excellent customer service skills
- Skilled with organization, decision making and time management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Knowledgeable on software installations
