We are currently seeking a Finance and Procurement Specialist.This is a long-term contract position that will be based in Lee County, FL but may require some occasional business travel throughout the Lee County, FL area.

The responsibilities of the Finance and Procurement Specialist include, but are not limited to:

• Goverment experience is a must
• Negotiate and secure purchase contracts for our clients to procure the needed materials and services for their disaster recovery projects.
• Partner with clients to ensure the proper guidance and regulations are followed within their disaster recovery funding programs regarding the procurement of resources.
• Conduct audits of documents, financial records, and all other related material to identify waste, fraud, and funding abuse.
• Become entrenched with internal program experts to better support our clients and guide them through complex disaster recovery efforts.
• Perform administrative tasks as assigned, such as supporting team members in other technical disciplines within the program, including housing, planning, infrastructure, etc.

Candidates for Finance and Procurement Specialist must possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in contracts, procurements, emergency management, disaster recovery, mitigation, mitigation, community planning, and/or federally funded programs.
• At least five(5) years of experience with finance and accounting.
• Strong communication skills, including written and verbal presentations to clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• The ability to work in office in the Lee County, FL area and perform business travel throughout the County as needed.

Candidates for the Finance and Procurement Specialist may also have the following qualifications:

• A Juris Doctor (JD) with successful competition of the bar exam.
• A master’s degree would be a plus in engineering, architecture, planning, business administration, or a related field.
• Prior consulting experience within the disaster recovery space.
