Finance Associate Position:

We are seeking a Finance Associate to join the team of a rapidly growing Private Equity (PE) firm. Our client is a PE firm with a niche specializing in SBICs and currently in the process of getting Fund IV to go to market. They are seeking a Finance Associate to manage the portfolio monitoring of the funds, monitor and track their investments, perform due diligence including ESG factors, and provide quarterly valuations. This is a great opportunity to get into the PE industry with a young (2013 launch), growing PE firm, with high personal growth opportunities. This person will report directly to the CFO and have direct exposure to the partners, and transaction representatives.

The finance associate will report to the CFO and be expected to lead administration of multiple funds and co-investment vehicles and participate in reporting to limited partners. This hands-on role will require a candidate who takes pride in their work and pays attention to detail while always maintaining the highest ethical standard.

Responsibilities include:

– Preparing capital call and distribution allocations and notices

– Reviewing quarterly financial statements and investor reports

– Preparing expense allocations and waterfall calculations

– Assisting with audits and tax reporting

– Assisting with cash management, monitoring credit lines and calculating interest and fees

– Responding to limited partner requests

– Regularly assessing the Firm’ s policies and controls

Qualifications

– 1-3 years of experience working for a major accounting firm or investment management firm

– CPA preferred but not required

– Strong Microsoft Excel skills

– Strong communication skills – written and verbal

– Excellent organizational and time management skills

– Proficiency reading and interpreting legal docs
