Miracle Kids Success Academy (MKSA) & Kids Unlimited Learning Academy (KULA) is an early intervention day treatment clinic for children with special needs. Once children are referred to MKSA/KULA by their primary care physicians, they must receive a developmental screening. Then, they may be scheduled for therapy evaluations at MKSA/KULA or bring recent therapy evaluation reports done elsewhere. To receive Early Intervention Day Treatment habilitation services, a child must have a documented developmental disability or delay, as shown on the results of an annual comprehensive developmental evaluation and qualify for at least one therapy service. Those services include (but are not limited to) fine motor delays, sensory disorders, gross motor delays, speech-language delays, hearing disorders, feeding disorders, developmental delays, cognitive delays and medical needs.

The Finance Coordinator plays a key role in providing comprehensive financial and accounting support to the Operations team. This includes driving the effective execution of accounting processes, A/P, payroll, and the G/L.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience. Accounting degree is preferred.
• 1 year of experience in accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with basic business and customer service principles, including planning and organizing, resource management and leadership skills
• Experience in A/P, A/R and payroll process.
• Demonstrated functional knowledge of payroll software and Microsoft Office
• A valid driver's license

JOB DUTIES

• Compiles and sort documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions.
• Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases.
• Audits invoices against purchase orders, researches discrepancies, and approves for payment.
• Investigates problems that vendors or purchasing agents have with obtaining payment for bills.
• Computes and records charges, refunds, cost of lost or damaged goods, freight charges, rentals, and similar items.
• Prepares vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records, and reviews for accuracy.
• Monitors loans and accounts payable and receivable to ensure that payments are up to date.
• Reconciles report discrepancies and problems.
• Codes data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures.
• Reviews, balances, and interprets computer reports, and makes corrections.
• Assists employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services.
• Computes wages and records data for use in payroll processing.
• Process timesheets, employee change forms and other documents to ensure accurate reporting of payroll data.
