Position Summary

This Finance Manager- FP&A role is responsible for consolidation of the Budget and Forecasts, communication of results and insights to the Leadership, in addition to developing financial models to support strategic analysis. The role is a partner to all Finance and Business teams including senior leaders in sales, operations and marketing, and is also the Reporting Lead for all Global reporting. In addition, this position will have one direct report, providing support in terms of budget and forecast process management, and publication of the Monthly FP&A Deck. The position reports to the Sr. Finance Manager, FP&A.

Responsibilities

  • Taking a leadership role in the budgeting and forecasting cycles within the business.

  • Responsible for consolidation of Budgets and Forecasts, including coordination with all key stakeholders.

  • Lead forecast and budget calendar formulation in coordination with Finance Leaders

  • Responsible for Financial reporting to Bridgestone Japan and BSAM

  • Partner with Corporate Accounting and Treasury for reporting and data evaluation

  • Ability to adapt reporting to continuous organization changes

  • Perform detailed financial analysis though development of robust financial models, while ensuring complete data integrity.

  • Identify and document trends in data. Partner with the business teams to make recommendations based on identified trends from analysis.

  • Help guide SAC development for best-in-class budget and forecast system

  • Form collaborative relationships with internal customers by listening, clarifying, and responding effectively and courteously.

  • Supports and/or leads highly visible special projects for the CFO/COO on an ad hoc basis

  • Performs other ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested.

  • Manage and support a direct report, providing guidance in terms of day-to-day operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited university; MBA preferred.

  • 6+ year of experience required in a finance function.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills required.

  • Technically proficient with knowledge of SAC, BPC, SAP and BI/BW a plus.

  • Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.

  • Thinks strategically, possesses strong analytical capability and has solid business acumen.

  • Works well on a team but can also manage work individually.

  • Collaborates and works effectively with others.

  • Self starter, with intellectual curiosity and strong communication skills.

  • Management experience preferred

Bachelor's degree; 6 y+ years of relevant experience including 3-5 years management or direct/indirect leadership experience or Master's degree; 4+ years of relevant experience including 2-4 years management or direct/indirect leadership experience
