We are a dynamic small office that works closely to provide professional financial and administrative guidance/support for effective management of our portfolio of properties, located primary in central Washington.
We are looking for an accounting professional with a critical eye who is ready to input themselves and their experience into the financial review and preparation process within our resort/property management company. This person should be self-motivated and timeline driven. The ability to prioritize your workload and maintain organization are EXTREMELY important in this position.
Position reports directly to the Controller.
Primary Responsibilities:
1) Financial information review – review consolidated information (BS, IS, AP, AR) for variances or inconsistencies.
2) Financial statements – prepare financial statements for internal review and distribution to designated persons.
3) Financial communication – Translation of financial information to non-accounting individuals to ensure clear understanding of the financial position.
4) Process organization – Regular review of processes for efficient and successful task/project completion
5) Payroll – Review of payroll for potential errors. Backup for payroll preparation (through PR service).
6) Accounts payable – Backup for bill entry, check run processing, filing, research where necessary
7) Backup for accounting and admin. department, when needed.
Required Skills:
1) AA in Accounting and 3+ years of accounting experience with increasing responsibilities – or similar.
2) Strong understanding of general ledger, income statement and balance sheet concepts.
3) Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and organizational ability.
4) Flexibility and availability to adjust focus or priorities, due to dynamic office environment.
5) Ability to communicate accounting information both accurately and concisely, often to non-accounting persons.
6) Intermediate to advanced experience with Excel. Experience with property management software is a plus.
7) Highly organized and process driven – showing the ability prioritize objectives and deadlines to completion.
8) Efficient and accurate data entry skills.
9) Ability to prioritize daily objectives and deadlines and achieve such with minimal supervision.
10) Ability to effectively and constructive communication with staff on-site and in central Washington.
Experience/proficiency with currently used software preferred:
Caliber, QuickBooks, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Teams, Zoom
