Financial Analyst - ALM Specialist
General Summary
Specializes in implementation and ongoing management of corporate financial performance reporting; provide global knowledge of financial institution strategic goals and their financial impact to the institution; work through the regular updating of model assumptions; preparation of management/board reporting;
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Routine management of modeling software for Asset and Liability Management
- Completing historical trend analysis to provide recommendation on assumption modifications
- Updating assumption spreadsheets and software as directed by management
- Partnering with management to fully understand the scope of projections and modeling assumptions
- Custom report/data writing through the use of SQL and other report writing platforms
- Ability to leverage large data sets to research operational processing, including transaction level detail, to provide insight on impact to financials
- Develop PowerBI dashboards/reports to monitor financial performance and regularly review the usability with end users
- Perform profitability analysis while working with Expense Management Team to identify allocation/process improvements for greater insight
- Create/maintain reporting for monitoring policy limits and concentrations
- Support overflow custom report/data requests
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Must understand and comply with all required federal and state regulations associated with this position
- Must be able to speak and understand fluent English
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Economics or related field. Financial institution experience required Advanced Excel knowledge required. PowerBI/Tableau and SQL code writing experience a plus.
