POSITION SUMMARY:
SUPERVISION:
This position does not supervise staff.
ESSEN TIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Assist team with aspects of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting. Provide analysis of market activity on membership, revenue and healthcare costs.
- Support negotiations with health plans during benefit design, product pricing and bid development. Assist in P&L analysis of health plans and products to determine areas for improvement and make recommendations to management.
Aid in constructing contract language and financial modeling to achieve organizational product revenue requirements under certain cost and trend assumptions while mitigating risk.
Assist in healthcare cost analysis by creating or enhancing reports that monitors trends in cost and utilization.
- Work closely with the business to develop, recommend and establish strategies, plans, and processes to improve profitability and cost efficiencies.
Develop and maintain detailed financial models in support of forecasting and annual budgeting processes
Understand and incorporate industry specific metrics into reports to highlight relevant trends and support fact-based business decisions
This position will also perform various other analyses as needed.

- Ability to work independently; ability to work with all levels of personnel. Proficient using databases, Word and Access, Powerpoint required. Expert in Microsoft Excel, rudimentary understanding of databases and different data architecture.

- Ability to identify data anomalies, and research and investigate the underlying drivers.
- Capable of building creative approaches to complicated problems.

̶ Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to convey complex concepts and issues to non-finance stakeholders in clear concise fashion. Ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external relations. This position will have interactions with all levels of individuals including managers and staff from other departments, and also senior management. Capable of managing multiple, competing high priority deliverables and consistently meet internal and external deadlines in a fast paced, evolving environment.
