HFI has an opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join the FP&A team to serve as a trusted business partner to the organization. HFI is recognized as an industry leader in the manufacture of automotive soft trim. This is a hybrid position that should be based in, or near, one of the following cities in Mexico: Monclova, Romita, San Luis Potosi, or Obregon.


The Financial Analyst position will report to the Director of FP&A and will be a key contributor, working closely with the HFI Accounting and Finance team and partnering across functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing multiple independent projects as well as serving as the Finance representative on cross-functional teams. They will provide meaningful performance insight and analysis to the business, drive efficiency, and deliver stated financial objectives.


This is a highly visible role, with exposure to HFI senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a growth mindset. Previous accounting or finance experience preferred including: data analysis, budgeting, accounting, and reporting.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in Operating Plan, Forecast, and Strategic Plan preparation, consolidation, analysis, and reporting
  • Prepare and send key month-end reporting deliverables, analyzing financials (e.g. Revenue,
  • COGS, Operating Expenses, Capex, etc.) to provide insight to organization
  • Prepare monthly variance analyses and financial reporting, researching cost drivers to ensure
  • clarity of explanations for stakeholders
  • Create financial data models for use by functional counterparts and senior management
  • Conduct business reviews with business partners and finance team and work with them to ensure they achieve / outperform financial commitments
  • Discuss risks and opportunities with business partners
  • Drive continuous process improvement across all Finance processes
  • Identify ways to improve efficiency, or implement cost / expenses savings and analyze the
  • financial impact, risks, and opportunities associated
  • Support special initiatives to drive strategic decision making (e.g. margin analytics)
  • Support Director and broader HFI organization in completion of ad hoc requests

The Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years of Finance, FP&A, or Accounting experience
  • Professional English / Bilingual is required
  • Experience with an ERP system
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing costing environment preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
