Join JSX as a Financial Analyst in the aviation industry! This position will have a significant impact on airports as well as fuel which is one of the largest direct costs associated with aviation. The analyst will be responsible for forecasting, cost modeling, ad hoc projects that provide insight, and presenting to management. - Main focus would be on forecasting and providing insight for Airports & Fuel costs
- Fully understand the fuel business model including market data, contracts, fueling aircraft, airport fees, and invoice details.
- Responsible for sending out the annual fuel RFP and reviewing bids for all airport locations.
- Review fuel invoices and summarize them for accounts payable on a weekly basis.
- Monitor fuel prices and fuel volume by location.
- Manage internal relationships as well as external relationships with fuel providers.
- Develop department budgets and forecasts by partnering with key business leaders. Provide monthly review of financial results including department variance analysis.
- Work on ad hoc projects that highlight opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present financial information to senior management.
- Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or related field from an accredited university
- 0 - 2 years of experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, or related field
- Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Must be proficient with MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookups, etc.)
- Able to connect with people and work with a variety of groups
- High level of communication skills, both verbal and written
- Highly organized with the ability to perform multiple tasks
Compensation range $60,000-$65,000. This was established after performing market research and is aligned with our approach to compensation. Most qualified Candidates will receive an offer near the starting point of our compensation range.
