Job description
Our Business Analyst is responsible for timely analyzing, evaluating, interpreting, and then presenting key financial results. This person will also be instrumental in developing our budget and tracking results vs. key performance metrics (KPI’s). This position presents a unique opportunity to work with all departments of the company and will be relied on to bring a well-rounded perspective while providing results and recommendations.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized critical thinker that enjoys doing detective work to shift through large volumes of data to find nuggets of information that can be transformative to an organization.
Responsibilities:
· Using various resources (such as the internet, news, business publications, industry reports, public information, field reports, purchased sources, and others) to identify, collect and sort the financial, business, economic and other important data related to the food packaging industry;
· Creating data visualizations, using monthly, quarterly, and annual dashboards through Power BI, QlikSense, Excel and ERP system to compose reports summarizing financial, business, economic and other relevant data for the Company’s managers, staff and others;
· Keeping close to the financial, business, economic, and industry trends related to the food industry through communications with customers, competitors, suppliers, professional organizations, or others;
· Using the financial, economic and business technologies to analyze and identify management strategies and competitive marketing strategies for our Company, as well as exploring potential business opportunities in the food industry;
· Performing profit and loss analysis, cost control analysis, quantitative analysis, and other analysis on the data related to our management and other matters; then comparing and analyzing industry trends, thereby proposing reliable data support and reasonable suggestions for our Company;
· Utilizing various tools such as RedZone to extract, transform and analyze business, financial, economic and industry data from disparate software products to answer professional questions, propose feasible resolutions, make informed decisions, and others;
· Designing, developing, implementing, monitoring, and updating business intelligence tools, systems, databases, dashboards, spreadsheets, outputs, methods, or others in order to collect, model, research, analyze, interpret, present, or report financial, economic, business, and industrial data in foods packaging supplies market for our Company leaders;
· Communicating with our company leaders to discuss which business and financial intelligence within the industry would help our Company make better financial, customer service, and marketing decisions, then testing to ensure the collected intelligence is consistent with defined needs;
· Working to prepare ad hoc financial analysis for our Company as required, and then summarizing the vital intelligence and data to report it directly to our Company leaders.
Requirements:
· Critical thinker with strong analytic modeling and technical skills;
· Versatile and strong communication and writing skills;
· Amazing attention to detail and follow-through;
· Excellent organizational and project management skills;
· Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal team;
· Familiarity and solid working knowledge with Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and Microsoft PowerPoint, and databases.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
