Job description

Seeking a financial controller to work in the office at our Ida Grove,IA facility. The goal of this position is to perform all of the financial reporting requests received from CFO, including weekly/monthly/yearly journal entries, weekly/monthly/quarterly state/federal returns, assist CFO with annual financial reviews and audits, management of Accounting Department staff.

Responsibilities:

• Gather and analyze data.
• Keep records of financial transactions.
• Monitor company financial performance.
• Perform back office functions such as bookkeeping, filing, and maintaining financial records.
• Perform basic analysis of financial data.
• Comply with accounting standards such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Perform a review of the company's accounting staff.
• Plan and organize the accounting department on behalf of top management.
• Investigate internal control problems.
