SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties are subject to accommodation in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

  • Performs intake and verification of patient demographic information and pre-authorization, as required.
  • Determine eligibility for sliding fee adjustment and entitlement programs.
  • Research the status of all unpaid bills and implement a collection process to resolve non-payment balances at the time of the visit.
  • Schedules walk-in patients, with Practice Management System by coordinating with the departments.
  • Informs patient of all their fiscal responsibilities and answer patient’s questions related to the payment process.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma/Business Institutional Certification or three (3) years relevant experience with practice Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of billing and collection procedures in a medical setting.
  • Ability to prioritize and handling multiple tasks.
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Generally, the working conditions are good with little or no exposure to extremes in health, safety hazards and/or hazardous materials. This person must have the ability to travel as required to work with staff.
