Tamayo Federal Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Mid & Senior-Level Financial Management Specialist to provide acquisitions expertise and knowledge in Surface Ship Repair and Modernization requirements for a high-level U.S Navy customer in Norfolk, VA to help the Navy plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed IAW contract requirements.

You will be contributing to our mission to deliver quality, cost-wise material readiness in support of U.S. Naval forces worldwide and coordinating the depot- and intermediate-level maintenance of the Navy's surface fleet using your expertise and experience that you acquired over your minimum experience of at least 5 years in this field.

What You’ll Get to Do:

- Collect, review, and analyze information in order to make recommendations to management

- Examine budget estimates or proposals for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives

- Perform cost-benefit analysis to review financial requests, assess program tradeoffs, and explore alternative funding methods.

- Examine past and current budgets and research economic and financial developments that affect the organization's spending.

- Develop guidelines and policies governing the formulation and maintenance of budgets.

- May conduct training sessions for company or government agency personnel regarding new budget procedures

- Define the nature and extent of problems. Analyze relevant data, which may include annual revenues, employment, or expenditures.

- Interview managers and employees while observing their operations.

- Develop solutions to problems. In the course of preparing recommendations, understand the nature of the organization, the relationship it has with others in the Government, and its internal organization and culture.

- Prepare and solve mathematical models.

- Report findings and recommendations to the Government.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

- 5-10 years of Experience with US Navy support

- US Navy or DoD financial management. Additional experience and certifications are a plus.

Education Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in related field

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

- U.S. Citizenship required.

- Candidate must have active SECRET Clearance

This position is contingent upon award of contract. “Contingent” offers for employment may stipulate those one or more requirements be satisfied before final commitment between candidate and Tamayo Federal is established; namely, award of contract to the Tamayo Federal Team.
