Cascade FinTech is looking for a Financial Operations Analyst. The successful candidate will work directly with clients, internal teams, and external vendors to ensure that all components of Cascade's settlement, reconciliation, and invoicing is supported. This includes managing third-party vendors that we leverage to provide services outside of payment authorization. We require someone experienced in supporting financial accounting.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Daily Settlement and Account Reconciliation
    • Complete daily settlement and account reconciliation
    • Maintain daily settlement and account reconciliation procedures
    • Provide recommendations and prioritized paths to address areas of opportunity as it relates to daily settlement and account reconciliation, as applicable
    • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reviews and/or reconciliation of supported products, as applicable
  • Invoicing
    • Complete reconciliation of all incoming vendor invoices and store in QuickBooks
    • Prep Client invoicing based on work order(s), term sheet(s) and contract(s) in QuickBooks
    • Prep Client Work Orders, as applicable
  • Processing Operations
    • Monitor daily file imports and exports to ensure that transactions are being captured correctly in the Cascade processing system.
    • Perform error handling procedures in response to file or transaction issues, including coordinating responses with external vendors
    • Maintain flow of funds mapping between banks and processing platform
  • Chargebacks
    • Perform daily review of dispute job(s) to ensure handling occurs in a timely manner
    • Process cardholder chargebacks, as applicable
    • Customize and send template communications to the cardholder throughout the dispute handling process
  • Provide Expertise
    • Collaborate with the Program Implementation team to ensure client implementation requests adhere to existing account and funds flow setups
    • Collaborate with internal Product Owners to ensure product development initiatives adhere to existing account and funds flow setups
    • Provide feedback, guidance, and recommendations to both internal and external resources on how to incorporate existing or set up new account or funds flows, as applicable
  • Position for Growth
    • Create and maintain standard operating procedures, in the form of wiki articles, up to and including, troubleshooting and resolving platform issues
    • Drive to resolve any issues associated with any aspect of financial operations and escalate as needed to meet deadlines
    • Use and continually develop leadership skills

Job Requirements:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, internal, and external vendors and resources
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft tools
  • Ability to create and maintain processes and procedures for your area of expertise
  • Experience in banking, payments, or financial accounting reconciliation and settlement
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within an organization
  • Self-discipline in time management, multi-tasking, and organization

Desirable

  • Experience in the Prepaid Industry with payments cards (prepaid, debit)
  • Experience with QuickBooks
