For more than 25 years, Craig’s Dirt Service has been serving East Texas with dependable and affordable excavation and earthwork services. We are seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to join our fast-paced and growing team. Ideal candidate must have experience with excavator and fine grade dozer and enjoy working in a flexible, small-team environment.
Job Type: Full-Time, hourly
Location: Lindale, TX
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be able to finish on a dozer
- Minimum 5 years experience working in residential or commercial excavation
- Minimum 5 years experience operating heavy equipment
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs
- GPS experience is a plus but not a requirement
- Have proposed grading experience
- Ability to read and write in English
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Willingness and ability to work in outdoor environments and stay on feet for extended periods
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary
Responsibilities:
- Study plans and specifications of each project
- Follow the assigned schedule from site Superintendent
- Complete on site work including clearing, excavation, grading, and other earthwork
- Complete general labor work as necessary
- Ensure that all work on site is done safely and according to plans and specs
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment
- Complete daily safety inspections on equipment
- Other related tasks as assigned
