Finisher/Patch Technician - Buildings Division
Role Description:
The Finisher/Patch Technician is responsible to finish and repair precast concrete surfaces, concrete floors, walls, and other precast structures to specified textures and colors.
General Responsibilities and Duties:
Works under direct supervision of a Building Division Supervisor to:
- Prepare and finish pieces to match the required color and texture of the precast concrete product
- Utilize special hand tools and apply patching skills, and knowledge to remove/repair rough defective spots and blemishes in concrete surfaces, and patch holes with fresh repair materials
- Follow instructions and repair steps according to engineering and/or QC processes
- Identify which products need to be finished/touched up before they can be yarded to final storage position
- Mix patch cement to create suitable patching material
- Apply patch repair material in a manner which ensures the highest quality finish
- Effectively communicate with department supervisor, QC and Yard staff
- Inspect all assigned products for cracks, chips, and color variations and repair as required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 3+ years of precast concrete experience-preferred but not required
- Eligible to work in the U.S
- Reliable transportation to get you back and forth to work
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to read a tape measure
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Able to handle a variety of tasks with little supervision
- Flexibility to work 40+ hours per week
- Knowledge of basic concrete tools and power tools
- Ability to read production prints/instructions
Physical Requirements:
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Exposure to fluctuating weather conditions including extreme cold or heat
- Ability to bend or stoop
- Ability to safely work from an elevated position on a ladder
- Able to safely and comfortably lift at least 75 pounds and frequently 100 pounds or more
Education and Experience:
- High school intern or graduate or GED equivalent
- On the job training will be provided

Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, minimum 40hrs. Overtime may be required to meet project schedules
Starting Pay Range: $20.00 -$22.00, Hourly
