Be a key player in collecting and analyzing data to assist regulators in determining the systematic imprtance of large banks, all while honing your financial statement and communications skills, utilizing your Microsoft office expertise, and potentially even learning Altreyx.

Job Summary:

The Firm-wide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis (FRRA) team resides within Corporate Finance. You will be responsible for the execution and delivery against the Firm's regulatory reporting requirements to its U.S. regulators. You and the team have end-to-end responsibility for US regulatory reporting and capital stress testing, including the design, implementation, and oversight of the execution, analysis, and control and governance frameworks. Your mandate includes determining the appropriate investment in people, processes and technology to improve the accuracy, completeness and consistency of the Firm's U.S. regulatory reporting and capital stress testing submissions, as well as the implementation of new requirements and guidelines as they are published.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for monitoring and communication of regulatory changes across multiple different U.S. regulatory reports within FRRA
  • Coordinate assessment of proposed changes to the applicable U.S. regulatory reports with the reporting teams and assist & coordinate feedbacks to regulators including comment letters
  • Liaison with Corporate Accounting Policy and SEC reporting team in assessment of new ASU US GAAP impact
  • Collaborate with regulatory reporting teams within FRRA in implementation of new rule or regulation changes
  • Provide SME guidance related to regulatory reporting requirement changes and implementation considerations
  • Provide technical interpretation & guidance on regulatory reporting issues and document interpretations of complex transactions and new products
  • Participate in policy implementation initiatives and coordinate implementation update to the Regulatory Reporting Policy & Implementation Committee
  • Define, develop, and maintain firmwide regulatory reporting policy and guidelines
  • Liaison with regulators on questions requiring formal interpretations
  • Develop and maintain internal policy interpretation and implementation related Frequent Asked Questions to the regulators
  • Assist with maintenance and update of regulatory reporting instructions
  • Assist in review of regulatory reporting related technical trainings
  • Assist in instruction compliance review conducted by other functions such as Quality Assurance or Internal Audit
  • Manage certain policy related implementation projects

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
  • Vice President level or equivalent experience
  • Strong US GAAP or IFRS accounting knowledge required (accounting or equivalent degree required)
  • Strong relevant U.S. regulatory reporting knowledge preferred
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Prior experience working in US GAAP or IFRS interpretation strongly preferred
  • Prior experience working in regulatory reporting interpretation strongly preferred
  • Big 4 experience preferred but not required
  • Strong PMO skills required with ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in verbal/writing and present to various types of audiences complex issues in an easy to understand manner
  • Strong communication skills - clear, concise, and appropriate method of delivery
  • Experience with establishing and meeting critical deadlines, as well as tracking and driving execution
  • Flexibility to change priorities as new situations present themselves
