Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking First-Line Manufacturing Managers (Fabrication) (Level K) to support the Tubes, Duct & Reservoirs Center Team in Everett, Washington on 1st and 2nd Shift.
Successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and coaching skills that will further enable our business unit to embrace and elevate the One Boeing Production System (One BPS) culture, tools and key performance indicators. This first line leader will embrace a team culture that supports safety, quality with a commitment to our team member’s success. FOD (Foreign Object Debris) free product and clean as you go is also a component of our production system and this also requires a steadfast commitment to our standards, our people and customers. This position is about helping our teammates and peers elevate and accelerate our business while holding steadfast to our values. Candidates may be assigned to any shift as needed for business needs.
Position Responsibilities
- Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines.
- Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
- Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.
If the successful candidate is not a “U.S. Person “(as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 “U.S. Person” includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees) and the position requires access to export-controlled data, an appropriate export authorization by the U.S. Government may be required prior to such access. Employment, and the continuity of employment of non-U.S. persons, is contingent upon the company’s ability to secure and maintain the necessary export control authorization.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- Ability to work any shift assigned, including overtime and weekends.
- Experience leading teams in a formal or informal role
- Experience working in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment.
- Experience using Lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience working in Production Systems.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- Experience in a team environment.
- Knowledge about composite manufacturing process and procedures
- Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership.
