Responsibilities:
Typical Day in the Life
A typical day as a Fixed Asset Services Associate might include the following:
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously, which includes client consultations, analysis and data gathering.
- Perform a nonintrusive, yet detailed engineering study of all the building items that can legitimately be depreciated on an accelerated timetable.
- Analyze architectural drawings, mechanical and electrical plans and other blueprints to segregate the structural and general building electrical and mechanical components from those linked to personal property.
- Work with business owners, building managers, architects, engineers, construction professionals and accountants on projects.
- Work with the cost segregation team, clients and partners to schedule projects and meet client deadlines.
- Participate in professional association meetings and forums.
Who You Are
- You have knowledge of contractor costs and building plans and have familiarity with the construction industry; you generally know how a building is put together.
- You have excellent communication skills and have the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management, staff and clients.
- You have strong attention to detail and are a multi-tasking master; there has never been a deadline you could not meet.
- You have the ability to organize information in an orderly fashion and have a willingness to tackle anything that comes up during a cost segregation study.
- You are open to travel and have the ability to regularly travel and work at locations around the Firm and at client locations.
Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
