Marketing Statement
Under general supervision, processes requests for vehicle services, prepares vehicles scheduled for repair or preventive maintenance services. Delivers vehicles to users after completion of repairs. Tracks vehicle service completion to arrange for pick-up or delivery of vehicle to customer. Provides daily inspections of PHA bus assets to ensure bus availability at all times.
Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience Guidelines:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent; AND one year of customer service experience, preferably in vehicle services; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Experience in the transportation industry or working with fleet or dispatch would be a plus.
Required Knowledge of:
PHA policies and procedures; HR Manual and Employee Handbook; Basic principles of vehicle maintenance and repair.
Required Skill in:
Interacting with people of different social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds; Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers; Operating a personal computer utilizing standard and specialized software; Ability to understand fleet repair; Ability to work in a professional manner regardless of the situation; Ability to work equally well on an individual basis or in a team environment; Demonstrated ability to communicate and listen effectively with people of diverse opinions and backgrounds; Communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
A valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Driver's License is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a standard office environment.
Responsibilities
Assists Senior Fleet Administrator in all aspects of the daily vehicle repair and service operations; Schedules or provides vehicle pick-up or delivery services for customers; Responds to requests for vehicle service; interviews customer to determine vehicle status, problems, location and customer needs; inspects vehicles as directed; Documents calls for service, updates and maintains vehicle service computer database; Assist the customer in the writing of service descriptions that are clear for estimating or pricing decisions; Transports (drives) vehicles between the service provider and the Fleet office (to and from) or coordinates transport if vehicle is not operation worthy; Performs superior customer service with daily communications with PHA drivers and automotive repair shops; Analyzes specific repair requirements; Assists with maintaining accurate ownership and assignment of company owned fleet; Performs various fleet analysis on an as need basis ranging from mileage usage to spend evaluations; Maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues and PHA information; Performs simple tasks on PHA vehicles such as the application of PHA decals, assisting drivers with “jump” starts utilizing Fleet equipment, checks for catalytic converter clamps, installation of GPS units in accessible dashboard data ports, maintains stocks of oil and windshield washer fluid; Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
