Logistics Coordinator

Reports To

The Fleet Coordinator will report to the Logistics Manager.

Job Overview

The FleetCoordinator is primarily responsible for monitoring and following up on execution of project and vehicle logistics by Sky Climber technicians and vendors. This position will also support travel and logistics planning for flights, rentals and company vehicles utilized by Sky Climber technicians.

Qualifications:
  • Background in office administration, logistics or fleet management
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Extremely detailed, task oriented, and a self-starter.
  • Highly efficient in computer skills and Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Be able to set and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Always maintain a focus on safety.
  • Be able to communicate with employees and customers in a professional manner.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude and self-motivation
  • Good driving record required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, physical and MVR.
  • Must be able to read and understand English.
  • Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
Responsibilities:

Process and monitor the organization’s Logistics paperwork and reporting to ensure travel technicians and vendors properly carry out planned travel arrangements.

  • Responsible for daily processing of routine vehicle paperwork and status reports.
  • Responsible for following up with field technicians and/or vendors when required documents are not provided or plans are not executed.
  • Responsible for the distribution and coding of fuel cards and transactions.
  • Monitoring GPS systems and working with field technicians and/or vendors to maintain compliance.
  • Issue corrective actions to technicians for failure to complete proper vehicle documentation and violation of company vehicle policies.
  • Booking logistics (flights and/or vehicles) for traveling technicians.
  • Assist with monitoring vehicles in the shop, follow up on repairs and return to service.
  • Complying with U.S. Department of Transportation Laws and regulations.
  • Finding ways to reduce costs and maximize profits with the fleet of vehicles.
  • Analyzing data to increase business operational efficiency.
  • Filing insurance claims.
  • Scheduling vehicle repairs.
  • Vehicle maintenance approvals.
  • Act as backup for the Logistics Manager.
  • Assist the Project Administrators in other areas as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
