What You’ll Do
We have an excellent opportunity for a Fleet Manager to oversee the scheduling of all fleet maintenance while maintaining a safe fleet. This position is full time and reports to the VP of Operations. The position is located in Woburn, and occasional travel to our Stoughton location is required.
The Day-to-Day:
- Order and maintain trucks
- Provide and update data related to all fleet service including maintenance, repairs, quality, and safety
- Follow up on Pre-and Post-inspections
- Record, schedule and update asset information in reference to location, status, assignment, condition, and cost accounting
- Invoice reconciliation and processing to accounts payable
- Ensure that safety concerns or issues are addressed immediately and within company policies
- Effectively communicate fleet repair schedules with internal and external customers, management, and vendors
- Provide Management with information and reports related to costs and history of the fleet
- Closely work with Dispatch to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain GPS system
- Make sure company is Dot Compliance
- Monitor accurate reporting on short terms leases and schedule timely returns
- Maintain facilities work orders and requests for all locations
- Authorize, schedule and determine truck needs for all locations
- Contact vendors for repairs and provide data
- Maintain accurate fleet logs
- Process Insurance claims
- Ensure PEAK obtains all necessary licenses and registrations
- Develop methods to increase efficiency and decrease costs
What We’re Looking For
- MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) experience and internet abilities
- 2+ years of prior experience working in the vehicle or fleet leasing/maintenance/repair/ sales industry and general familiarity with vehicle maintenance terminology
- Outstanding customer service abilities
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multi task
- General knowledge of safety and best practices
- Great math skills, a must
- Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time
- Lift 45 pounds on occasion
- Experience with DOT compliance and light fleet repairs, a plus
