Fleet Tire Manager
Manage corporate tire purchasing, supplies, and maintenance of truck tires for multiple locations.
Supervises all functions of tire department personnel and activities at all locations. Will play a key role in maximizing efficiencies, revenue, productivity, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Job Functions (Other duties may be assigned)
Supervise and motivate service and parts personnel, promote teamwork, and manage efficient workplaces.
Manages and monitors tire allocation and delivery schedules and projections for tire orders/inventory for all locations.
Manages supply chain alternatives and purchases.
Manage tire department purchasing and rebates.
Manage the tire shop equipment and tools to maintain high safety standards.
Develop and maintain manufacturer/supplier relationships as to product development, availability, programs, ect.
Develop and implement tire programs and vehicle alignment best practices for service managers and technicians to follow.
Ensure new hires are not exposed to any potential danger without having had the proper training.
Conducts supplier/customer presentations and program reviews.
Oversee vendor relationship and retread accountability.
Oversee tire casing and wheel refurbishment, inventory, and aging.
Oversee mounting, dismounting, and balancing of truck tires.
Implement and manage a training program for tire maintenance and recommended practices.
Fleet surveys at customer locations.
Requirements
3+ years of experience with supply-chain functions
Commercial Truck experience required
5+ years or more of related work experience
Ability to read and understand OSHA regulations and standards as they apply to tire work.
Ability to manage employees and processes.
Ability to use a computer
Ability to write legibly and to speak effectively.
Ability to develop and deliver presentations to a senior management audience.
