The Nines is looking for a Floor Manager to join our team.

The Nines is a dynamic supper club, cocktail and piano bar from Golden Age Hospitality - the team who brought you Le Crocodile, ACME, Happiest Hour, Le Dive and Deux Chats.

Drawing inspiration from sophisticated European hotel bars, The Nines has been thoughtfully designed to celebrate the true golden age of hospitality. The food and beverage team is helmed by Executive Chef Nicole Gajadhar and Beverage Director Ashley Santoro.

The menu takes its cues from Europe’s grand hotels, anchored by staples such as caviar, tartares, smoked salmon and blini, a signature burger and club sandwich. Cocktail offerings are refined and include specialty and house-takes on classics.

The Floor Manager leads service, supporting the door and floor teams and ensuring an excellent guest experience by developing strong service standards, holding staff accountable, streamlining operational SOPs and ensuring high team morale. The floor manager reports directly to our GM.

The Floor Manager is a point of contact for regulars and neighbors, will assist with staff training, scheduling and work closely with kitchen management to make each service at The Nines the strongest it can be.

The Floor Manager's schedule is 5 days a week. Shifts are generally 10 hours in length. The floor manager works a combination of opening and closing shifts.

The ideal candidate for this position has experience in both high-end and high-volume food and beverage service. A strong background in old world wines and proper wine service is very helpful as are familiarity with spirits and classic cocktails. Experience ordering liquor and beer are helpful as well as scheduling staff.

The Floor Manager has to lead by example, be confident and comfortable executing service according to our standards, sensitive to the needs of staff and guests and show care in managing staff morale while balancing the need for accountability and standards being upheld.

Health insurance is available paid 50% by the company after 90 days of employment as are two weeks paid vacation each year.
