Description:
Part-Time Position: The Food Service Worker participates in the daily distribution of meals for infants, toddlers and preschool children in the Head Start program. The Food Service Worker is responsible for accepting deliveries for the Food Service Driver, transferring food from hot boxes to containers/bowls and delivers food to classrooms; pickingup food containers from classrooms and washingdishes/service bowls, utensils, etc.; properly labelingand datingall foods for service or storage; ensuring kitchen is clean, orderly, and well-maintained. ensuringfood safety and sanitation; and completingall required paperwork. Required lifting up to 50 pounds.A high school diploma or equivalent is required; must have a valid Ohio Driver's license and be insurable under Agency's policy.
Schedule:Part-time shifts - Weekdays, between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Essential Job Functions:

• Receive all food delivered by Food Services Drivers and complete accompanying transport slip: record temperatures for each food item, sign off that all food is received;
• Transfers food from hot boxes to containers and bowls and delivers to classrooms;
• Picks up food containers from classrooms and washes dishes including service bowls, containers, portioning spoons and all other food service utensils;
• Properly label and date all foods for service or storage;
• Ensures kitchen area is clean, orderly and well maintained;
• As needed, drive between sites to assist in operations
• Abides by all applicable Agency rules and regulations;
• Other duties as assigned by the Site Administrator, Food Service Supervisor or appropriate supervisor.
