Pay: $19.00 per hour plus competitive benefits
Spanish Bilingual differential: $0.75 per hour
Position Type: Full-time / 40 hours per week
Expected Hours per Week: Tues-Sat; 8:00a to 4:30p with the ability to flex hours to accommodate business needs.

Remote Eligibility: Level 1-This position is not eligible to work from home.

Summary: Ensure the efficient and equitable delivery of food product to clients in our Fresh Food Share location.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Greet and complete check-in of a diverse clientele ensuring education of programs availability, regulations, and eligibility through exceptional customer service and professionalism while maintaining client confidentiality.
- Evaluate, maintain, and adhere to Food Safety guidelines.
- Stock and replenish the Food Share distribution area to ensure food availability to clients to support a positive shopping experience to include distribution of TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) and CSFP (Commodity Supplemental Food Program) products. This may include sorting, bagging, and organization of food.
- Perform Warehouse functions to ensure product rotation in such a way to minimize waste, provide equitable amounts of food to clientele, and encourage nutrition using the FIFO (first in first out) method while operating a forklift and/or pallet jack.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to the Operations Manager.
- Assist with facility housekeeping tasks as assigned (e.g. sweeping, dusting, cleaning, trash, mopping, bulletin board updates, de-icing, etc.)
- Adhere to FBLC Safety standards and OSHA regulations to ensure workplace safety. When operating company equipment or vehicles adhere to safety standards and ensure others are as well.
- Coordinate, train, and direct Food Share volunteers to optimize workflow effectiveness while ensuring a positive experience.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS

Competencies: Communication proficiency, collaboration skills, leadership, organizational skills, teamwork, time management, reasoning ability with ability to make sound decisions under pressure, conflict management, de-escalation tactics, mathematical Skills (add, subtract, multiply, & divide in all units of measure using common fractions and decimals, interpersonal skills of persuasiveness, as well as sensitivity to the point of view of others, including generational and cultural competency and awareness are requisite to success in this position.
Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required. Warehouse experience preferred.
Pre-employment screening requirements: Ability to pass a drug test, pass a WorkSTEPS job-specific test, and possess a current forklift certification or be able to obtain certification at the expense of the organization.
Language Skills and Ability: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English and Spanish language preferred.
Computer Skills: Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, with ability to perform basic IT troubleshooting. Experience with Inventory Management, Project Management systems, and Microsoft Navision Ceres 2009 is favored.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no direct reports but is responsible for the coordination of all department volunteers.
Work Environment: This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, color vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Travel: Travel is infrequent, but if needed is primarily local during the business day between our three locations.
