F2259 - Foods Hotcakes Operator; 1st Shift (7:00 am - 3:00 pm)

Salary Range: $16.60/hour

Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt

Description: The Operator is expected to understand, engage and assist in leading production activities for their assigned work area. The Operator oversees the Production process to ensure Human Safety, Product Safety, Product Quality, Sanitation, Efficiency and Environmental Compliance.


Essential Job Functions/Job Responsibilities:


Daily Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for communication with incoming Operators on the next shift.
  • Maintain consistent presence for assigned work area
    • Visibility - "10' rule" with visitors and customers
  • Complete daily checks and record data appropriately
  • Consistently follow assigned schedule for breaks and lunches and assist with coordination for team
  • Training and Development-assist and support team
  • Continuous Improvement-work instructions and work orders
  • Adhere to all policies- attendance, vacation, breaks, GMP's, Safety rules, etc.


Required Skills:

  • Have ability to function in multiple positions and aptitude to learn operation of machinery.
  • Understand quality standards, follow those standards and elevate concerns when processes are not functioning correctly
  • Participate on ERT, Evacuation Team or other Safety Teams as needed
  • Understand and utilize measurement systems and tools
  • Demonstrate reasoning ability and critical thinking skills to resolve production issues and team member conflict.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control to continuously reduce variation in systems
  • Knowledge of TPM requirements
  • Must participate in all knowledge, skill and EQ assessments and/or testing and training
  • Meet expectations of the OJT certification process
  • Understand manufacturing process and possess the ability to drive continuous improvement
  • Functional in basic computer applications (i.e. Microsoft Word and Excel)
  • Must display effective communication skills, listening skills, EQ skills, etc.:
  • Perform the essential functions and physical requirements of the job with or without accommodation.
  • Complete job tasks and responsibilities as directed or required (for example, set up, monitor and adjust to compliance the automated machinery, measure, weigh, and record raw product data and transfer data to the SPC sheet to ensure product is consistent by all specifications, perform routine equipment repairs and assist maintenance with in-depth repairs/modifications).
