Job Summary:
This position is responsible for accurate and timely accounting and forecasting. The position will assist senior level management in forecasting, performance reporting, variance analysis, and special projects. Collaboration with the Finance Director and the Marketing Director in addition to other business leaders is essential to success.


Essential Elements of the Job:

Responsibilities

  • Accurate and timely processing and reporting of accounting information, variance analysis, and forecasting.
  • Continuous review and improvement of the forecasting process.
  • Assimilates and distills large quantities of both financial and non-financial information into concise, useful and meaningful management reports, with an emphasis on providing timely and accurate forecasts and financial performance reporting.
  • Work closely with the marketing and accounting departments in the evaluation of marketing strategies and plans and the review and analysis of information to identify patterns and trends.
  • Constant growth in knowledge and understanding of program drivers and strategies to provide interpretive analysis.
  • Provide observations and recommendations for improvements to program profitability, including but not limited to, evaluations of pricing practices, product costing and subscriber acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Maintain existing management reports as well as developing new reports to meet management needs.
  • Assist in development and administration of the annual program budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Effectively present data using Excel, Power BI, and or other applications.
  • Provide backup for other program reporting and forecasting efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance and/or another related field and/or a minimum of (2) two years’ work experience in a forecasting analyst role. A solid understanding of general financial accounting is required, along with the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles. Must demonstrate the ability to effectively present information and response to questions form internal and external customers.
