Responsibilities:
Include the following, though other duties may be assigned:
- Conduct computer forensic investigations and electronic discovery requests for legal and corporate clients, using forensically sound methodologies along with forensic software suites and other digital tools.
- Support project manager, clients and consultants by communicating the progress and any issues of all assignments and supporting the intake process by assisting with scoping calls to corporate clients, attorneys and law firms.
- Onsite collections (potential testimony), including travel, and direct interaction with the client.
- Support office manager with evidence return, documenting time entries, and case management.
Required Qualifications:
- General understanding of Windows and Mac Operating Systems.
- General understanding of information systems security, network architecture, physical server and desktop architecture, virtual infrastructure architecture, general database concepts, document management concepts.
- General understanding of Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments.
- General understanding surrounding forensic best practices including but not limited to proper collection, preservation, and documentation of data sources/evidence.
- Basic understanding of forensic artifacts surrounding Windows Operating Systems.
- Intent to learn and familiarize yourself with multiple computer forensic and eDiscovery tools.
- The ability to multi-task is critical as you will be responsible for several simultaneous projects.
- The Forensic Examiner must be very detail-oriented and must be able to interact with other staff and clients, in person or by phone. Critical thinking, problem solving, precise organization, and the ability to collaborate is vital.
Preferred (but not required) Qualifications:
- Experience with Linux and Windows servers.
- Experience with collection and analysis of cloud email environments and storage sites.
- Experience with forensic and data processing tools such as AXIOM, Cellebrite, EnCase, NUIX and Relativity.
Certificates Preferred: CCE, EnCE, CCFE
