Culpeper of Leola / Stauffer Components, a treated lumber and building components manufacturer, located in Leola PA, has an opening for an - EXPERIENCED - Forklift Operator in our Shipping and Receiving Department.

**SIGN ON BONUS**

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• OT available, based on business needs
• CLOSED WEEKENDS

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Unload building materials and other supplies from rail cars and trucks.
• Verify inbound shipments and record receipt.
• Stock all material in designated locations, rotating existing inventory as needed.
• Alert Supervisor to any potential inventory stock-out, quality, or safety concerns.
• Pull, band, and stage orders in advance of shipment including cutting engineered wood products.
• Load completed orders on trailers, verifying entire shipment.
• Conduct routine daily maintenance checks on forklift equipment. Maintain forklift fluid levels.
• Operate bander, hand tacker, and other equipment as needed to keep products secure and protected.
• Keep area clean, organized, and safe: sweep, put equipment away, empty trash receptacles.
• Assist with inventory control reporting any discrepancies and physical inventory.
• Retain an awareness of the work environment critical to the task at hand to produce error free and damage free results.
• Maintain a current forklift operator’s license.

Required Skills:

• Product knowledge of lumber and building materials, preferred
• Take measurements to the 1/16th inch using a tape measure
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; able to use a calculator
• Effective written and oral communication skills (English)
• Read paperwork and other documents (English)
• Previous forklift training and experience with an accident-free record
• Willing to work at heights up to 25 ft.
• Able to follow directions and carry out instructions while also working independently
• Safety-conscious

TESTING

• Must pass forklift driving test at interview with a 11,000 - 15,000 lb. diesel lift
• Safety Sensitive Position - Must pass physical / lift test / drug test
