The Job Details:

The Freight Claims Specialist is responsible for the proper handling of claims for the United Stated Cold Storage Logistics department. This includes qualifying, processing, and settling all customer OS&D (overages, shortages, damages, discrepancies, spoilage, and/or loss) freight claims. The primary purpose of this role is to communicate between the carrier, the intended receiver and the customer concerning the disposition of the undeliverable freight and shortage discrepancies while protecting the interest of both United Stated Cold Storage, it’s customers and it’s carriers.

What We Are Looking For:

Education

• 4 Year college degree preferred

Experience

• 4 years of experience with freight claims in a third party environment preferred

• My EzClaim experience preferred

• 2 years of experience reading and understanding transportation carrier contracts

• 3 to 5 years general transportation experience preferred

• Experience with a Transportation Management System (TMS), AS400, SAP, Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred

• Experience with Bills of Lading
