Job Purpose or Objective(s): You will help oversee front desk operations, exceeding guest expectations by providing efficient service while maintaining a standard of professional excellence for front office staff. You will report to the Hotel Shift Manager, or Hotel Manager on duty.

Pay Rate: $19.50 hr | Full Time | 3rd Shift

Primary Tasks:

  • You will monitor the check-in/check-out process; anticipate important situations and assist wherever necessary to help alleviate the pressure and to process the guest expediently.

  • Review reservations, check for special requests, or any follow-up required.

  • Maintain all direct bill accounts, vouchering all bills, and completing of any required paperwork while backing up front desk.

  • Respond to guest comments, complaints, and concerns.

  • Review the daily business levels, anticipate important situations, and plan solutions to best expedite these situations.

  • Monitor the staff's interaction with guests, ensuring prompt service; resolve discrepancies with respective personnel.

  • Ensure staff reports to work as scheduled and document tardy and absent employees.

  • Complete requisitions to replenish shortages or additional items needed for the anticipated business.

  • Review requests for late check-outs, approve according to occupancy and communicate information to housekeeping.

  • Other tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements:

MINIMUM

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Computer Software Skills

  • Perform job responsibilities with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.

  • Prioritize and organize.

  • One (1) year prior hotel front desk experience.

TARGET

  • Associate's degree in hotel, hospitality, or restaurant management or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Computer Software Skills

  • Perform job tasks with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.

  • Prioritize and organize.

  • Two (2) years of progressively responsible positions in hotel front desk or customer service.
