Front of House Manager

We are seeking a mature and experienced Front of House manager for a two-month run of shows in a San Diego location.

The show

● The Empire Strips Back, A Burlesque Parody

● A nationally touring smash theatrical show that has already sold out three months in San Francisco and is currently showing at the prestigious Montalban Theatre in Hollywood.

● Mid-scale show - 11 cast, 4 crew, large props and extensive costumes.

● This is a super fun show with enormously talented dancers, an insanely energetic audience, plenty of press and a loyal fan base.

The role

● Front of House manager at our San Diego location

● Anticipated dates of employment: February 7th 2023-April 9th 2023

● This is a FOH management role in a non-traditional venue: a warehouse that is being converted into a theater with a seating capacity of 300

Your background

● Previous Front of House or venue management experience

● Ideally, you have FOH experience in genres such as legit theatre, musicals, variety, circus, music, burlesque, festivals.

● Calm and level-headed, performs well under pressure

● Customer service experience

● Supervisory experience

Responsibilities

● Manage all typical Front of House duties including house management, ticket-scanning, ushering, general venue operations, managing customer service, solving problems with patrons, liaising with concessions staff to ensure smooth operations

● Other duties: this is a non-traditional venue so some non-typical FOH duties may include: checking on portable restroom trailers, managing security, managing venue cleanliness, running the merch booth

● HR/Admin duties: creating and maintaining usher and staff schedules, reporting on absences, signing off on timesheets, emailing venue info to producers

Pay Rate

● Pay will be $30/hour
